• Question: Will it ever be possible to travel faster than light?

      Im not too sure it will be. According to Einstein, the faster you go, the heavier you get. If you go at the speed of light you are infinitely heavy….

      However, physicists believe that wormholes do exsist and that these could be used as a shortcut in space. So we could go into a wormhole and travel a distance that light would take hundreds of years to cross in just a few seconds.

      Hi Samuel. As far as I’m aware, physicists think that the speed of light is the absolute limit, as fast as anything can go. If we found something that could travel faster than light, then a lot of physics would have be revised.

      But that’s how science works. If a robust observation disagrees with the current theory, that theory has to be revised. But if faster-than light travel ever happens, that goes so far against lots of modern physics, I’m sure we’d be hearing a lot about it. Just before the aliens get here 🙂
