I hope I’ll be able to stay in research science; I really like my job, getting to do different experiments every day and find out new things in my area of science! I’d love to be able to do a postdoc in alzheimers research, or mitochondrial disease.

I’m not sure how long I’ll stay a research scientist though – there’s not a lot of job security, and there are other things I’d like to try too! I’d like to work in public engagement – maybe for a charity like Cancer Research or Alzheimers UK, getting to pull together all of the recent research scientists have done and present it in a way that would be accessible for the public 🙂

I think I might like to be a teacher one day too – I had really good science teachers in school, andthey made a big difference to how I pursued my education. I’d love to be able to give students that little push they need to find a subject they love, and the ecouragment to work hard and do well 🙂
