Hi tabiuw. I think one of the great things about I’m A Scientist is that it gets we scientists talking to you students. I don’t think I met a real working scientist until I went to uni. It’s a good way to give you guys an idea of what we do, and what the life of a scientist involves, but doing things online can only go so far. So one of the ways I think it would benefit would be to give students a chance to meet, and talk to a real science.

Specificallt about neuroscience: perhaps the curriculum has changed since my day, but we didn’t really study the brain in great detail when I was doing A-levels, but I think it’s fascinating stuff. One of the reasons its so fascinating to me is that there’s so much about the brain that we still don’t know. I’d like to try and get that across: summarise what we DO know, and look at all the stuff we DON’T.

We run a number of workshops already, but would like to develop things further.
