Question: is it possible for a space ship to "fold" time and space, like off the movie "Event horizon"?

  Hello samuelharrison. Physics isn’t my speciality, but from what little I know, wormholes are a theoretical possibility – tunnels that link two points in space that might be thousands of light-years apart. If a ship could pass through between those two points, it could appear to travel faster than light.
  
  I’m not sure whether that’s a practical possibility rather than just a theoretical one. It may be in the future, but for now I think it remains within the realm of science-fiction. But a lot of things that were once science fiction are now everyday technology, so you never know… 🙂
