• Question: if you could have any job or be anything in the world what would it be and why?

      Hi conal. I’m pretty happy with the job I have at the moment. It has its ups and downs, but I’m getting better at handling the downs, and there are quite a lot of ups.

      I can’t imagine anything where I’d be happier. The job keeps me interested and is mostly fun. I work with great people in a wonderful place.

      When I was younger I always wanted to work for a demolitions company. I just love that you spend months planning how to blow up a building without it destroying anything, but in the end it all comes down to those few seconds when you press the detonator! Id love to be able to see that all the time!

      Hello conal

      I really wanted to be an archeologist before i became a scientist. I think i would still like to do this, probably because i would like to be like lara croft!! (archeologist/bad ass!!)

      I would also like to have my own bakery. This is something i love to do in my spare time and i get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing someone enjoy something that i have made 😀

      I really like the idea of being a teacher one day – I had really great science teachers at school, and they really helped me out a lot with studying and with choosing to my degree to become a scientist! I’d love to be as inspirational to some students as my teachers were for me 🙂

      If I wasn’t a scientist, I’d really like to be an author. I love reading, and I have written a couple of books myself … I’d have to get a lot better before I could write anything worth publishing though!

    I think I would like to be something in the theatre like a lighting technician but if that doesn’t work it would be something to do with science but I can’t work out what 🙂

      Just do something at alevel that you find interesting. If you arent sure what to do then there are loads of places that can help you decide. have you thought about doing work experience anywhere?
