• Question: If mitochondrial genome works first time don't you get bored because you're not stretching yourself?

      sorry its taken me a while to get to your question – there’s been so many to answer!

      The honest answer is that hardly anything in science ever works perfectly first time – and even if it did, I still need to do the experiment again to make sure my results are definately right 🙂 And there’s so much to do apart from just sequencing mitochondrial genomes from patients that I’d love it to work first time anyway – this would give me more time to do more types of experiments, and to analyse all of my data!

      One of the best things about science is that there’s always something new to learn, or a new experiment to try, so I’ll never run out of interesting things to do 🙂
