      Sort of – though it was more of a negative result than a discovery! I had three theories on how mtDNA deletions accumulate in patients (where a chunk of of genome goes missing from the DNA of one mitochondria, and then starts to go missing from the DNA in lots of mitochondria too!) I finished up a project recently that disproved one of my theories, so it’s sort of a discovery that that hypothesis is wrong. At least it lets me focus my research more on my other two ideas now though! 🙂
