Question: Do you also grow and investigate stem cells?

I use blood samples taken from volunteers to get their blood stem cells. These are cells that are found in the blood of everyone and can create any blood cell type.

Once I get these stem cells I grow them in my lab and see if the cells taken form pateints with mitochondrial disease behave differently to cells from healthy people.
