• Question: Can you reverse aging?

      Not yet, sadly – we can’t stop people aging either. Aging research really focuses on aging healthily rather than trying to stop people from aging – it wouldn’t be very good to live for a hundred years longer if we still started to get frail and get aging diseases at the same time as we do now! Maybe when we’ve found a way to maintain people’s vitality for longer then we can work on finding ways to stop, or reverse aging.

      Not yet, mainly because we don’t yet fully understand what causes ageing. Ageing is the biggest risk factor for a number of diseases including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. If we can understand why cells get worn out and damaged as we age then this should also help us understand a bit more about these diseases as well as knowing more about ageing in general 🙂
